Our club relies on volunteers to deliver great soccer programs and events.
Most of these roles are coordination roles — you won't be expected to do everything yourself. You'll help organise a team of volunteers, coordinate tasks and rosters (use sign up), and step in where needed.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We are currently seeking Expressions of Interest for a range of VOLUNTEER ROLES, including:
- Club Apparel Coordinator: Help our players look and feel part of the club! This is a COORDINATOR role — you’ll use SignUp to organise a volunteer team and create the shifts needed, mainly during the busy pre-season period. You’ll also help with year-end stocktake and plan for purchases. Rest assured, you will have plenty of support from the committee.
- Club Apparel Volunteer Team: Prepare team kits and run uniform shop before and at the start of the season with only occasional Uniform Shop shifts throughout the year. You’re not signing up for everything — the Coordinator will create the shifts, and you simply pick the ones that suit your time. Small commitment, big difference!
- Events Coordinator: Community Events are an important pillar of our club — bringing people together, creating great memories and building a stronger New Farm United community. This is a COORDINATING role: think of yourself as the director of the show! You’ll help shape the strategy and plan our events, bring volunteer teams together using SignUp and other tools, and delegate tasks to the right people. Think about Trophy Day and Photo Day, you will be the Person In Charge from organising suppliers, arranging trophies, to on the day contact. You don’t have to do everything yourself — your job is to bring the people, ideas and moving parts together, with plenty of support from the committee!
- Events Volunteer Team: There’s a job for everyone when it comes to club events! The Events Coordinator will set up the SignUp opportunities and ask for volunteers — you simply pick a job and a time that suit you. From setting up, decorating and registration to packing up, organising activities or helping bring Trophy Day and Photo Day to life, every small contribution helps make our events possible!
- Equipment Coordinator: No equipment, no football! This is a COORDINATOR role. You will be using SIGN UP website to coordinate and organise a team of volunteers/shifts to keep everything ready for training and match day - from checking equipment and setting up goals to inflating balls or preparing the ice bags and tidying the storage area. Rest assured, you will have plenty of support from the committee, Trevor, the coaches, parents on the day.

From checking equipment and setting up goals to inflating balls or preparing the ice bags and tidying the storage area. It’s flexible and can even be a one-off job. You’re not signing up for everything — the Coordinator will create the shifts, and you simply pick the ones that suit your time. Small commitment, big difference!
- Field Care & Maintenance (Coordinator): This is a COORDINATOR role. You do not mow or mark yourself! You will be using SIGN UP website to coordinate and organise a team of volunteers/shifts to mow and line mark. Think of yourself as the artist behind the scenes. Also, you will be working with our external contractors to ensure the field is properly maintained and cared for. You will have plenty of support from the committee.
- Field Care & Maintenance (Volunteer Team): Love getting your hands dirty? Handy with a mower or line marker? Come and join the team! Help with mowing, line marking and general field maintenance. It’s flexible and can even be a one-off job. You’re not signing up for everything — the Coordinator will create the shifts, and you simply pick the ones that suit your time. Small commitment, big difference!
- Community Engagement Coordinator: This is a newly created role that is constantly evolving — you can help shape it into whatever you believe will make the biggest difference! Community engagement is an important part of growing our club. Working alongside our external social media agency, you’ll help collect stories, photos and moments from across the club and put New Farm United in the spotlight. Your ideas can help bring our community closer together, attract more people to the club and share the joy of football with more people! Rest assured, the committee is very supportive!
- Perpetual Trophies & Shields Volunteer: Help preserve the history of New Farm United! At the end of each season, you’ll make sure our perpetual trophies and shields are correctly engraved to celebrate our premierships and Grand Final wins. Very little time commitment, but a very rewarding job!
- Sponsorship Coordinator: Sponsorship is an important driver of the club’s income. Help us build great relationships with our amazing sponsors and explore new opportunities — for the club in general, as well as specific events, games and programs. If you enjoy connecting with people and have some great ideas, we’d love to have you on board!
- Other: I’d Like to Help! Can’t find a role that feels right for you? We’d still love to hear from you! Tell us how you’d like to help, what skills or ideas you can bring, or how much time you have to give — there may be a way for you to make a difference!
