U12–U18 Youth Teams

It’s our aim at New Farm United to provide football programs for players of all abilities. Our aim for our divisional teams is to enjoy their football and develop their skills in a fun, friendly environment. All players will be graded into teams appropriate to their level of skill where possible. U13 play in a competitive competition but play on a 9v9 field. U14+ are played on the full field, takes on full field football format with team sheets, 11v11 football, substitutions, competition points and league ladders.
We run 1 to 2 teams per age group therefore sometimes try outs are required to make the advanced teams (teams entered into Football Queensland competitions MJL, Div 1 or Div 2). Details regarding those will be made available around season start. No try outs are required for more social teams. Players secure a spot once they have registered and paid.

Training:

Training Day and Time will be dependant on Player and Coach availability and will be confirmed prior to the commencement of training. Training for these age groups will be between 60-75 mins per session under the guidance of the team coach and Club Technical Director.

Fixtures:

All junior divisional teams participate in a home and away premiership. U13-U18 teams typically play all their fixtures on a Sunday (with an odd game on Friday night). U18’s would vary across Friday-Sunday.

How to Register

New Farm United operates a Three Tier registration system where you register with the Club and with the National and State Registration Systems. Registration and Payment for Football Australia are done through the Play Football platform. Registration and Payment for Football Queensland are done through the Squadi platform.  Registering in both platforms is compulsory.

All players are required to then register with Playfootball which is the National Registration System driven by the FFA. This system requires all players to register via their FFA number (new players will be issued a number upon first registering).

Registering with Squadi ensures 12 month insurance coverage for the player.  If a player does not complete this component they will not be covered should any injury occur throughout the season.
